"I wish people would just STOP asking me what I'm planning on doing for the rest of my life! Once I figure that out I'll freaking fill you in okay. Yes, I am graduating soon but that doesn't mean I'm any closer to knowing what my future holds. Give me a break. Ahhh deep breaths.. everything will work out, won't it?" Yeah, why the eff do people do this? But anyway, how do you overcome your anxieties about your future?

I was a history major in college (No idea why). When people would ask me that same question, “so now that you’re graduating what are you going to do with a history major?”, I finally started answering “I’m going to go make history.” Hasn’t happened yet, but at least it shut them up :)

I think most people ask because they think they’re supposed to. Up to this point, our whole lives have been organized around being students and suddenly, we throw a hat in the air and are supposed to have the rest of our lives all figured out.

Don’t let them get you down, and you will figure it out.

If I hear this question ONE MORE TIME I WILL GET CRAZY. So I have started telling people I’m off to be an erotic dancer. That tends to end the conversation quickly.

Seems like people have a really hard time being in the moment. There was a great SEX IN THE CITY episode where Miranda became very frustrated by the “What’s next?” questions. “When are you getting engaged? When are you getting married? When are you having a kid? Where are they going to school?” On and on and on… It’s so annoying!!
