WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND?

Oh, The Things I Would Do

I'm a gemini, and my rising sign is leo. You'd think I'd be the most narcisistic person ever and very very sociable. Well… I wish.

I'm not sociable at all. I do have some friends, people who know the real me, but that's all. I rarely make any new friends, I'm shy. I don't post my pictures on the Internet. I don't flirt with boys I like. Ah, and I LOVE anonymity.

Three or four years ago I realized what was holding me back. Guess what? I don't think I'm pretty and I wanted to please people's eyes.  Oh, the things I would do if I was pretty… I mean, if I FELT pretty.  Actually I don't really care what others think. I know that nobody is demanding prettiness from me, I AM. But I don't know how to change my mind… I don't even know if I want to.  {end story}

Anyone have any advice for our writer?  Any of you ever think what you would do if only you were other than who and how you are now?  What would you change?  What would you do?  Why can't you do that – or be that – now?  We say go on and let yourself fly.  XO, OOC

    You sound so resigned to a fate that you have given to yourself. Not everyone is pretty. Almost everyone is prettier than they feel. Find a way to accept who you are, what you can be, and live fully from that place. I know, it is not easy, but neither is where you are. Love yourself more. You are obviously introspective, thoughtful, kind – and I bet you are beautiful too.

    Pretty fades. Beauty endures. Don’t let what you aren’t hold you back. Let what you are push you ahead.

    I am short. Really short. The product of short people. I’ve always thought that if I were 6″ taller (I am 5’0), everything would be different. I wouldn’t be the short girl, anymore. I could be the cute girl or the normal girl or even just the girl over there.

    People have always told me I’m pretty. I have never felt like it though. It does not matter what you are, it matters how you feel, for good and ill.

    I have never liked the term “shy”. I prefer “quiet”, “observant”, or “reserved”. I’ll talk when I want to! Society seems to like tall people who play sports and talk a lot to strangers. Well, that ain’t me!
