Our Mission ~ And Yours Should You Choose To Accept It.
At Feel More Better we're on a mission to make the world an easier place for women and girls to be happyer (nope, that's not a typo, it's how we spell it), and to help women and girls get past whatever's hating on their happy. That’s it in a nutshell.
We're in this fight because we're the parents of a little girl (and boy), and we want her to have the best chance of being the happyest version of herself as she grows up...and there's a lot that can get in the way, and makes it so hard growing up a girl, and so hard becoming a truly, madly, deeply happy woman in today’s world. Things like social and cutlural messages, images, norms, standards, ideals, expectations, inhibitions, sacrifices, insecurities, stress, magazine covers, mean people, traffic...sometimes the list seems longer than any one person's ability to push back against it.
And we hope to be a part of changing that, and making the world, or at least our little corner of it, safer for women of all stripes to speak their truth and find their bliss, regardless of its shade or pattern. We're trying to add new faces and new voices to a woman’s fight for the right to like herself. We want you to feel good enough about yourself that you can (quoting the great American artist Sol Lewitt) "learn to say 'fuck you' to the world once in a while. You have every right to. Just stop thinking, worrying, looking over your shoulder, wondering, doubting, fearing, hurting, hoping for some easy way out...grinding away at yourself. Stop it and just DO."
Easy right? Ok, not so much, but it's a hell of a place to begin and to which to aspire. So if you want to help make women (and girls) happyer and the world a better place, join us, please. After all, we're all in this together.
XO, eva and seth.
P.S. If you like what we're doing and want to wear it on your chest, or on a mug, or put it on your wall...go on and visit our shop here.
P.P.S. to share your story and/or read about someone else's, check out our women's magazine here. There's only one rule...no judgements allowed. Any opinion is welcome, but don't go hating on someone else's happy, nor let anyone hate on yours.
And, if you'd like to join us and ensure that advertisers ~ whose tens of billions of dollars a year in spending shape and influence how so many, many, many women and girls (and increasingly boys and men) feel about and look at themselves ~ we hope you'll sign and support the Media and Public Health Act, which is a proposal for federal legislation requiring Truth-In-Advertising labels be put on any ad that changes the human body through digital means. Our POV, Photo-Shop all you want...just tell us you did it. Truth in advertising. Transparency. Clarity. You can check it out here.
