WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND?

Try As I Might

6 comments | April 30th, 2012

(story submitted by F, a Chestist)

Some days I feel like no matter what I do it's not good enough for anyone, myself especially.  (end story)

Short but relatable.  You ever feel like your efforts aren't adding up to what you want them to?

I think everyone feels that way some times. We all go through cycles. I think it is so important to recognize when you’re in a lull or a dip and see it for what it is – a lull or a dip, not a sentence.

It’s like that Old Winston Churchill line says “when you’re going through hell, keep on going.”

Oh how I get this. Hang in there. It always changes even when you are sure it won’t.

I relate to this too, but I try to have compassion for myself. Every time I get down on myself I try to think of one thing I do well. It can be a little thing like parallel parking, which I am very good at btw. C’mon, there is definitely something you are proud of. It doesn’t chase away all the negative, but at least you are being kind to yourself.
